On April 16, 2025, at the initiative of Professor Jerzy Detyna, Director of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology (PWr) Branch in Wa\u0142brzych, a meeting took place between representatives of the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology (WGGG) of PWr (Dean of the Faculty, Professor Rados\u0142aw Zimroz, and Dr. Magdalena Worsa-Kozak) and the Mayor of Wa\u0142brzych (Mr. Roman Sze\u0142emej), Deputy Mayor (Mr. Kacper Nogajczyk), representatives of the Center for Science, Culture, and Art \u201cStara Kopalnia\u201d (Centrum Nauki i\u00a0Sztuki Stara Kopalnia<\/a>) in Wa\u0142brzych (Mr. Jan J\u0119drasik \u2013 Director, Ms. Wioletta Wrona-Gaj \u2013 Head of the Museum of Industry and Technology), as well as the President of the Szczawno-Jedlina Health Resort (Mr. Krzysztof Urba\u0144ski).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highly promising discussions focused on joint initiatives to promote the mining industry and the preparation of R&D projects, and continued into the late afternoon. The visit also included a tour of the \u201cStara Kopalnia\u201d in Wa\u0142brzych and the Health Resort in Szczawno-Zdr\u00f3j, providing an opportunity to better understand the challenges faced by these institutions. This collaboration holds great potential, and both sites impress with their rich mining heritage and grandeur!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
