The second edition of the international workshop GEOBENCH: Evaluation and BENCHmarking of Sensors, Systems and GEOspatial Data in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing took place at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow on October 23-24. The GEOBENCH workshop focuses on topics in photogrammetry and remote sensing together with the evaluation of algorithms and sensors in this sector.
The DMC research team from WUST, together with representatives of 3DOM unit from FBK, presented the handheld mobile mapping system PoLiMap, which was developed for the VOT3D project. In addition to the presentation given, there was also a demo session, during which representatives of DMC and 3DOM explained the technical details of the system’s operation.
The developed PoLiMap solution will enable the acquisition of accurate and precise 3D data from underground mines. The obtained point clouds will be used to develop a comprehensive system with modules dedicated to processing this data and performing airflow analyses.
