DMC at XXth International Systems Degradation Conference

On April 3-5, DMC members had the pleasure of being part of the XXth International Technical Systems Degradation Conference, which took place in the Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovenia.

During the poster session that started on the second day of the conference, Przemysław Dąbek and Adam Wróblewski presented current developments in research connected to the ECHO project, mainly focused on the creation of the breaking hammer dynamic model and its measurements obtained during the visit to Lekatech in Finland. At the same time, Hamid Shiri and Radosław Zimroz presented a work titled “Modelling and analysis of long-term historical data of time-varying complex systems in the presence of impulsive noise for condition monitoring”, being a continuation of the previous works on diagnostics of non-Gaussian signals.

DMC at 50th Ogólnopolskie Sympozjum DIAGNOSTYKA MASZYN

Due to the amazing 50th anniversary, it was a truly remarkable edition of Machine Diagnostics Symposium (Ogólnopolskie Sympozjum DIAGNOSTYKA MASZYN) and the members of DMC were especially excited to attend. As always, topics presented by our team were related to data processing and analysis for machine diagnostics, specifically:

  • Radoslaw Zimroz, Agnieszka Wyłomańska, Tomasz Barszcz: About non-Gaussianity of data in local damage detection and prognosis
  • Hamid Shiri, Agnieszka Wyłomańska, Radoslaw Zimroz: Modelling and analysis of long-term historical data of time-varying complex systems in the presence of impulsive noise for condition monitoring
  • Mohammad Siami, Tomasz Barszcz, Radosław Zimroz: Heterogeneous Information Fusion Approach for Monitoring Bearings in Harsh Environments Using an Inspection Mobile Robot
  • Jacek Wodecki, Radosław Zimroz: Two-dimensional filtration of time-frequency map based on Jarque-Bera statistic for rolling bearing fault detection in time-varying conditions
  • Anna Michalak, Justyna Hebda-Sobkowicz, Radoslaw Zimroz, Agnieszka Wyłomańska: Non-negative tensor factorization of measures of dependence map for local damage detection using vibrations
  • Daniel Kuzio, Wojciech Żuławiński, Radoslaw Zimroz, Agnieszka Wyłomańska: Design of new health indicators by statistical measures applied to cyclic spectral coherence map

The 55th anniversary of the Mining Department

This year, on October 27-28, a unique occasion was celebrated – the 55th anniversary of the mining department. The ceremonial event combined with St. Barbara’s Day celebrations consisted of presentations during the day and a grand evening feast. The DMC team celebrated together with a large group of invited guests, including many graduates of various degrees, fresh students, and representatives of companies closely related to the faculty.

DMC at ECMI

On June 30th DMC members had the pleasure to be part of 22nd ECMI Conference on Industrial and Applied Mathematics in Wrocław organized by our friends from the Faculty of Pure and Applied Mathematics. Mateusz Gabor and Jacek Wodecki presented the results of their research during the Minisymposium on non-Gaussian time series analysis for local damage detection. In particular, Mateusz had the opportunity to refer his latest research conducted within NonGaussMech project.
