“Traditions and Innovations in Mining. GEO3EM project as an incubator for Industry 4.0” was the name of the conference held at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining, and Geology on November 22-23, 2019. The event was also connected with the celebrations of the Feast of Saint Barbara, the patron of miners.
Over 100 guests, including mining industry management members from KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A., and companies related to mining industry, had the opportunity to visit the new research facility of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology and learn about the projects conducted therein. DMC leader Rado Zimroz was happy to present the topic of “Digitalization and robotization in the mining industry based on research and applied projects conducted in GEO3EM”.
