ECHO Project pilot coordination in KGHM

On the 23rd of February, the DMC team visited the KGHM Polkowice-Sieroszowice mine and had the opportunity to discuss the issues related to the Lekatech Electric Hammer (LEH) assembly in the operational conditions of an underground mine.

LEH piloting in KGHM as an important part of the ECHO project is planned for the second year of its duration. However, as commonly agreed, it is crucial to begin work at the very beginning of the project in order to meet the defined pilot goals.

Both Engineers from the mine and KGHM Head Office took part in the meeting. We would like to thank you for the invitation and very productive meeting.

Our visit to KGHM was also a chance to consult the ideas of newly developed projects that we are planning to submit in the EIT KAVA 9 Call for Projects 2022. We are extremely grateful for the ongoing willingness for bringing innovations into the Raw Materials sector.

Stay tuned for the next updates!
