DMC member is a flood leader in Kozanow

At the end of September, southern Poland, including Wroclaw, was struggling with flooding. We are not only involved in machinery and mining, but we are also water-related specialists. The posts on FB and forecasts of the flood leader in Kozanow (the most famous district of Wroclaw since the flood of 1997) and at the same time a member of DMC Dr. Krzysztof Chudy found appreciation among residents and allowed them to prepare calmly for the passage of the flood wave through Wroclaw.

HECATE project meeting in Toulouse

HECATE project’s M21 Steering Committee meeting took place on 24-25 September 2024 in IRT premises in Toulouse (France).

This F2F meeting was an occasion to have a strategic and technical review, and workshops on HECATE activities. The SC members got also the possibility to visit the IRT platforms. It was a fruitful meeting to discuss about the progress of the project.

Two DMC members in Ranking World’s Top 2% Scientists

We are proud to announce that two members of the DMC team have been recognized in Ranking World’s Top 2% Scientists:  Dr. hab. inż. Radosław Zimroz and Dr. Govind Vashishtha.

 Dr. hab. inż. Radosław Zimroz, a distinguished professor at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, has once again been recognized as a top researcher. For the fifth consecutive year, he has been included in the prestigious top 2% Scientist List published by Stanford University (USA) and Elsevier.

Dr. Govind Vashishtha, a highly promising researcher and postdoctoral scholar at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, has achieved a significant milestone in his career. For the second consecutive year, he has been recognized as a top 2% scientist in the prestigious list published by Stanford University (USA) and Elsevier.

This remarkable achievement underscores Dr. Vashishtha’s significant contributions to the field of Engineering, particularly in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His impactful research has earned him a global ranking of 176,101 in Engineering and an impressive 737th position out of 119,204 authors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His impressive H-index of 5.87 further emphasizes his prolific research output and growing influence within the scientific community.

DMC at Conference on Noise and Vibration Engineering

On September 9-11, 2024, two members of DMC, Anna Michalak, and Radosław Zimroz, participated in the Conference on Noise and Vibration Engineering held in Leuven, Belgium. This prestigious international conference gathers the most influential and famous researchers in the field.

They contributed to the conference with presentations and a poster session, showcasing their team’s latest research supported by the MOIRA, HECATE, and SHENG projects.
